At Saler ("we," "our," or "us"), we are dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, process, use, store, and safeguard data from users of the Saler Customer Mobile Application and our official consumer platforms.
Saler is a next-generation hybrid platform designed specifically for travelers and local explorers to discover highway restaurants, dhabas, and city-based culinary outlets. By using our mobile apps or web-based dashboards, you consent to the practices described in this document.
2. Information We Collect
We collect and manage different categories of information to deliver a smooth and reliable dining discovery experience for customers:
- Account Profile Data: Full Name, email address, phone number, gender, and encrypted authentication details.
- Precise Geolocation Data: With your permission, we collect real-time coordinates (Latitude & Longitude) from your device to help you search for nearby eateries, track distance on highway trips, and enable the hybrid traveler-mode routing features.
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Token (to deliver push alerts for order updates), and notification settings.
- Transaction & Order History: Menu items ordered, special instructions, checkout details, invoice receipts, cash-on-pickup selections, and feedback reviews.
- Loyalty & Wallet Data: Saler wallet balance, signup bonus eligibility records, claimed bonuses, and accumulated reward points.
3. How We Use Your Information
We process your personal data for the following essential purposes:
- Order Fulfillment: To transmit order items and your first-name to partner kitchens so they can prepare and hand over your meal correctly.
- Smart Routing & Discovery: To calculate real-time distances between your current position and highway food stops.
- Push Notifications: Sending instant updates (using your FCM Token) when your order state changes from "Pending" to "Preparing", "Ready for Pickup", "Delivered", or "Refunded".
- Loyalty Programs: Crediting signup bonuses and verifying points balances during checkout.
- App Optimization: Monitoring application logs to ensure system performance, verify location triggers, and optimize app navigation.
4. Sharing and Disclosure of Data
We value your trust and do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only under the following strictly defined conditions:
- With Partner Restaurants: We share order specifications, first names, and customer phone numbers solely to facilitate cooking and hand-off verification.
- With Secure Payment Services: Transactions are routed through Cashfree / Razorpay. We do not store full credit card numbers or UPI PINs on our servers.
- With Notification Gateways: FCM tokens are passed to secure notification routers (like Firebase) to deliver real-time system messages.
- For Legal Reasons: We may share records to comply with applicable laws, government audits, or judicial processes.
5. Security & Protection
We implement strict security measures to protect your database records:
- Row-Level Security (RLS): Our core database enforces strict RLS policies. Customers can only read and write their own account profiles, wallet logs, and order histories. No customer can access or view another user's database records.
- Encryption: All transit communication is encrypted via secure HTTPS protocols. API tokens and sensitive keys are guarded server-side.
- Asset Isolation: Public assets like restaurant cover photos and dish images are hosted in public storage buckets, whereas internal operational customer agreements and transaction data are isolated in restricted secure database partitions.
6. Your Rights & Account Deletion Requests
We respect your ownership of your data. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or permanent deletion of your profile information:
How to request data deletion:
If you wish to terminate your account and remove all personal information (such as email, mobile number, and addresses) from our active database, you can:
- Navigate to the **Settings** or **Profile** section in the Saler Mobile App and tap on **"Delete Account"**.
- Or send a direct email request from your registered email address to support@saler.in with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Once submitted, your deletion request will be processed, and your personal data will be completely expunged or anonymized within 7 business days, except where retention is legally mandated (e.g., past transaction histories).
